Every Meditation Gives You Exactly What You Need
People often believe (because they heard it somewhere) that they need to meditate for a certain amount of time or in a certain way to gain the benefits of meditation. This isn’t true, per se.
In fact, there are many misbeliefs about meditation:
Some believe a short meditation isn’t worth it.
In reality, you can meditate for five minutes and still receive a benefit. We do recommend slowly increasing your meditation length to reach 30 minutes. Over time, and as you grow your practice you can increase the benefits you will experience from your meditation.
It is believed that you must be of a clear mind to meditate.
On the contrary, it is ok to experience thoughts during meditation. You are human. With practice, you will find ease in developing a quieter mind and allowing yourself to find the space between thoughts
Falling asleep means you’ve failed at your meditation
When we meditate, we can become very relaxed as we release stress especially early on in our practice. Falling asleep can be one of the outcomes, which is quite normal. As your meditation practice grows, you’ll enter your meditation with increased mindful awarenes
